ReconRobotics Attends National Sheriff Association Show in New Orleans

 

To Introduce the Throwbot® 2 Micro-Robot

EDINA, Minn. – June 10, 2018 – ReconRobotics, Inc., the world leader in tactical micro-robot systems, announced that it will exhibit at the National Sheriff Association’s Annual Show in New Orleans on June 15-20, 2018. ReconRobotics will take the opportunity to introduce it newest product, the Throwbot® 2 micro-robot at the show.

The National Sheriffs’ Association (NSA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising the level of professionalism among sheriffs, their deputies, and others in the field of criminal justice and public safety so that they may perform their jobs in the best possible manner and better serves the people of their cities, counties or jurisdictions.

Chartered in 1940, the NSA is a professional association dedicated to serving the Office of Sheriff and its affiliates through law enforcement education and training, and through the provision of general law enforcement informational resources. NSA represents thousands of sheriffs, deputies and other law enforcement, public safety professionals, and concerned citizens nationwide. Through the years, NSA has provided programs for Sheriffs, their deputies, chiefs of police, and others in the field of criminal justice to perform their jobs in the best possible manner and to better serve the people of their cities, counties or jurisdictions.

ReconRobotics is introducing the Throwbot® 2 – a throw-able, micro-robot system enabling operators to secure instantaneous video and audio reconnaissance within indoor and outdoor environments.

  • The total system weighs approximately 3 pounds (in default mode).
  • Is equipped with an infrared optical system that automatically turns on when the ambient light is low.
  • Video and audio can transmit up to 150 feet (45 meters) through walls, windows and doors to the OCU II.

Once deployed, the robot can be directed to move through a structure transmitting real-time video and audio to the OCU II allowing the operator to locate and identify subjects while revealing the room layout.
