The Recon Scout Operator Control Unit (OCU) is a rugged hand-held device used to control the movement of the Recon Scout and to receive live, high-quality video from the Recon Scout as it moves through an environment. The OCU is small and light weight, and can be operated with just one hand. Total set-up time takes less than 20 seconds: simply attach the two antennas and turn on the OCU. Movement of the Recon Scout is controlled by a simple thumb-operated joystick in the center of the OCU.
Within the United States, sale of the Recon Scout to non-Federal and non-military entities is limited to state and local police and firefighters eligible for licensing under 47 C.F.R. § 90.20(a)(1) of the FCC Rules, and security personnel in critical infrastructure Industries as defined in the FCC Rules, 47 C.F.R. § 90.7. Operation of this product by non-federal and non-military entities requires an FCC license. These FCC Rules do not apply to sales made outside the United States. |
